Archbold Logistics has strengthened its Global team with the appointment of Sally Ogley, an experienced commercial and logistics professional with more than 20 years’ industry experience, who joins from Palletforce.
Sally brings a strong background in freight, logistics, customer development and national account management. She also spent 18 years with FedEx, where she worked with some of the UK’s largest domestic accounts, including major brands such as Arco, L’Oréal and Silver Cross.
Her appointment forms part of Archbold’s wider focus on expanding its Global Logistics portfolio, with particular emphasis on international road, sea and air freight, multimodal solutions and responsive customer service. Sally will work alongside the team to develop new business opportunities, support existing customer relationships and help raise the profile of Archbold’s Global Logistics capability.
Alan Maher, Managing Director at Archbold Logistics, said:
“We’ve known Sally for many years, so this is not someone coming into the business cold. We know her drive, her commercial ability and the way she works with customers. She has a strong track record, she understands the market, and she brings the kind of energy we want around our Global portfolio.”
For Sally Ogley, the opportunity to join Archbold full-time was a natural next step:
“I’ve worked with Archbold for several years and have always respected the way they look after their customers. There is a real depth of knowledge in the business and a clear opportunity to build on the strength of the Global team. I’m excited to have joined and to help create new opportunities for the business and its customers.”
While Archbold’s UK operation remains a core part of the business, Archbold sees significant opportunity within Global Logistics and has continued to invest in this area of the business as part of its wider growth plans. Sally’s appointment is part of that investment, strengthening a team that is already well placed to support customers with international road, sea and air freight, and more complex logistics challenges.
The business is also continuing to invest in new systems and processes which will support more efficient ways of working, better visibility and a more connected operation.
Alan added: “We’re investing because we know where the opportunities are. As we continue to strengthen the team over the summer, the aim is simple: to keep improving, keep supporting our customers and keep moving Global forward.”
With more than 100 years of logistics experience behind it, Archbold continues to combine established values with a forward-looking approach to customer service, technology and international logistics. The focus remains on giving customers the confidence, clarity and support they need to keep goods moving – wherever they need to go.
